Sign us up….. we wouldn’t miss UNLEASHED for anything….

David and I are really looking forward to our second year being with you all. Our first year, 2009, was such an incredible life changing experience. We arrived not knowing what to expect….and left on such an incredible HIGH that we are still riding on…RED HOT for JESUS…and it’s great!!!!!!

The work that you, and those supporting and imputing with you, are doing is without a doubt God ordained, Christ inspired and Holy Spirit filled.

The material taught was insightful and invaluable for us and also in ministering to others. We have this year, after being so inspired and enriched by our experience at UNLEASHED, become Facilitators for The Life Keys program. The desire for others to experience what we experienced has become a deep burning passion.

Your UNLEASHED program really has unleashed a fire in our bellies, a passion in our walk and a new boldness for all that God desires us to do.

Held this weekend at Forest Lakes, Otaki will see about 240 youth from Lifechurch - Palmerston North; Meadows Church - Paraparaumu and Otaki; Napier Christian Fellowship - Hawkes Bay; Abundant Life Centre - Wellington and Masterton Community Church - Wairarapa have an amazing power packed weekend with speakers Steve and Amy Silcock.

The Cause 2010 held last month was awesome!! Three fantastic speakers, great food, a welcoming venue and some great fellowship made this conference a blast! 2011 not to be missed. The messages from conference will be available in a few days under the resources tab.

Team of 20 in India

A team of 20 from the Meadows Church is presently in India on a missions trip. They have had a great time so far, working in Pune doing medical camps and ministering in churches. Last week they travelled on to Mumbai to work with World Vision and are now in Delhi.

Leeston New Life opens "THE STATION"

The Leeston New Life Centre has run a youth programe, "Teenz" for at least 26 years. The church foyer has served as a base for Teenz for many years, and as we have up to 100 youth attending, this was not always a suitable place to run it from. The church has had a vision for a purpose built youth facility for years, somewhere safe for our youth which provided us with an alternative to travelling to Christchurch for entertainment, so when the seed store across the road from the church became available for purchase, the vision started becoming reality. By Feb 07 the purchase was completed, and The Station started to take shape. Most of the funds for the purchase and refit, which included stripping the internals, new concrete floors, re-roofing, stained wall panels, commercial kitchen and all the many council requirements, were generated from within the congregation. Many contractors and local businesses have also given generously of time and materials. The driving force behind the project was Lyndon Sutherland, father of 4 boys and church elder.

The official opening was November 21-22 2009, with hundreds of invited guests and locals participating in everything from a youth concert, Golden Gumboot competition and Celebration Service.

Now finally, we have our huge facility serving two main purposes. One end is carpeted ( approx 200sq m) and will be used for socialising, meetings, entertaining etc, while the other end is set up for indoor sports - netball, cricket and soccer, with the entire 200 sq metres enclosed with cricket net.

A significant PA system is installed and automatic doors make it the most user friendly venue in the township.

Plans are afoot to use The Station for everything from childrens holiday programs, community events, twilight netball, regular youth activities and social functions to name a few.

This is a very exciting time for Leeston New Life, as they explore ways of using this vessel to reach the community.

New Church Plant in Hamilton

Pastor Friday Fumbilwa writes: Yes God has been good to us. It's not been easy but it's worth every effort and sacrifice. El-Shaddai Worship Centre Auckland is now 15 months old and already hitting the 200-adults mark which is very encouraging to all of us. Over the past few months, we have had a few families travelling from Hamilton to attend our service in Auckland. The Lord impressed upon me that instead of people following the church every Sunday, the church should rather follow them! And after much prayer and upon the leadership hearing my heart, we began a Home Cell which met fortnightly on Saturday which went on for a few months. This culminated in the Official Opening of our Hamilton Branch on Sunday 27th September 2009. We are currently meeting every Sunday at 10:30am at 46 Hyde Avenue, Nawton (West Hamilton). This is a popular area for gangs in Hamilton but we have found out that where sin abounds, grace abounds even more! The Hall we hired only seats 80 and we are already having a good problem; running out of space. We are still in need of some musical equipment but as for now we are carrying on with the few pieces we have.

34 passionate New Lifer's (aged 18 to 50+) took part in November's Unleashed 09 - New Life training/ministry for newly or soon-to-be credentialled pastors: emotional healing, deliverance, new friends, great food, tears, laughter, inspiring worship, counselling, prophetic download, flying fox adventures, great teaching, mentoring, testimonies of changed lives! It was great to have Wes & Janet Chambers and Kathy King join the ministry team this time around. Photos to come..

Joining us again is Pastor Steve of Faith Christian Church in Tucson, Arizona. For 25 years along with his wife Teresa, he has raised up a very strong Local Church which is impacting his City. From this church, Five others have been planted, (one of which is in New Zealand) and all are showing the great results of foundations laid Apostolically. Steve was also the Leader of the Tucson Ministers Association for eight years and is a leader of leaders. Steve is a great Teacher of the Word of God, and more recently has been moving in Signs and Wonders. Many creative miracles have been recorded and constant healings seen. Steve has developed a love for New Life Churches and will enjoy sharing his experiences.
