Leaders of the Movement : Adam & Anita White

 

 

Adam & Anita White

Adam and Anita lead New Life Churches. They are also Senior Pastors of Connect Church on the Kapiti Coast. Adam is an energetic preacher who is able to creatively communicate thought provoking and relevant messages to many different cultures and generations in a way they can understand and apply. Anita has a contagious and vivacious personality. She loves sharing God's heart and seeing people set free.

Together, they have a huge heart for the local church and seeing it being used to expand Gods kingdom throughout New Zealand and the nations.

 

Stephen Miller

Stephen is a Spirit-filled preacher of the word of God who together with Susan leads Manukau New Life church.  Their passion is to know God and to make Him known.  By God's grace the church they lead is seeing broken people become the champions God created them to be through salvation, healing and discipleship.  Stephen's preaching will challenge you to a deeper walk with Jesus, a life empowered by the Holy Spirit and to know your identity in the Father's approval.


Jim Shaw

Jim and Anneke have been the Senior Pastors of Manukau New Life Church for over twenty years, previously assisting David McCracken for seven years. Jim is a preacher/teacher with a passion to see people, marriages and families restored. Their multi ethnic, multi generational church is passionate for the presence of God, passionate to reach youth and immigrants. Jim has a vision for a powerful, disciple making church that impacts cities and nations.

Lynne and Peter

Lynne Frew

Lynne, assisted by her husband Peter, was Senior Pastor of Life Christian Centre, Rangiora for eleven years, raising up young leaders passionate for God. Lynne's heart is to encourage individuals, pastors and churches to encounter God and courageously stretch into the fullness of their call. Lynne has helped develop and lead several new initiatives over the 9 years she has served New Life at a national level.  She is passionate to see New Life step up to a fresh Spirit inspired momentum, effectively impacting NZ and beyond.


David Elder

David and Robyn have pastored New Life churches in Auckland and Invercargill since the mid 1980's. David is passionate about local churches carrying the burden for the lost of the nations. He is convinced that strong healthy churches need to be led by strong healthy leaders. As well as effectively serving the New Life pastors and churches of the Southland Region over several years, David and Robyn have been sought after to minister to pastors and leaders in numerous nations.

Wes and Janet

Wes Chambers

Wes and Janet have led Living Waters Christian Centre in Christchurch for the past sixteen years. Wes has a passion for the presence and manifest power of the Holy Spirit to change and empower people, leaders and churches. He is also passionate about equipping the saints and developing leaders who know who they are in Christ and what they carry to extend the Kingdom of God. Wes has a heart to be part of the team leading New Life churches into a powerful and effective future.

National Leadership - Apostolic Leadership Team (A.L.T.)

NLCI in New Zealand is led both nationally and regionally.  The Apostolic Leadership Team (A.L.T.) leads nationally.

 

A.L.T. Responsibilities 

  • To apostolically lead and inspire NLCI in New Zealand to effectively impact this nation and beyond for Christ through the empowering of the Holy Spirit
  • To identify and appoint a leader from among them. This leader will be someone who is gifted to passionately inspire and clearly articulate vision while also carrying a deposit in God for relating to people. The leader is leader of the Team, the Team serves and leads the Movement
  • To connect NLCI with apostolic/prophetic ministries
  • To build honouring relationships with senior/itinerant New Life Leaders
  • To relationally connect with, support and serve NLCI pastors
  • To further develop NLCI as an international movement
  • To explore greater connection with Australia (initially invite Gary Dench, Australia New Life Leader, to A.L.T. for some/all meetings).
  • To explore South Pacific connection
  • A.L.T. have the power to co-opt specialist people but it is recommended that the core team remain around 5-7 people
  • A.L.T. members are accountable to one another and to the Movement

 

A.L.T. Appointment Criteria 

  • All embracing passion for New Life Movement
  • To be based in or ministering from a New Life Church
  • To carry the distinctive and core values of New Life
  • To embrace the mandate to lead apostolically
  • To accept an initial 3 year appointment
  • To know they are called/given by God to this function
  • Have a track record of growing or building a healthy, thriving ministry (current)
  • To demonstrate ability to raise new leaders
  • Be recognized beyond New Life
  • Have a missional heart (i.e. extending not maintaining the kingdom)
  • Have the value of a family of Churches
  • Be willing to accept and activate a portfolio of responsibility
  • Be endorsed and supported in this role by their local church
  • Have broad acceptance by greater New Life ministers
  • Have a good report from out in the community (including a written reference)
  • Review and appointment/re-appointment will be on a three yearly basis with appointments being confirmed at National Conference

An appointment process has been formulated and ratified in March 2012.
